To our future students and their families,

On Tuesday September 4, 2001, CREATE Charter High School made history by becoming the first charter high school to open in Jersey City, New Jersey. 
The following day the Jersey Journal reported on its front page, "GREAT EXPECTATIONS", with regard to the excitement surrounding CREATE's opening and the prospect of its preparing young adults to participate meaningfully and contribute productively in our society. 

Our graduating class of 2005 fulfilled that promise. Over the past several years our students have worked and studied, practiced and played, and grown -grown mentally, physically, and spiritually - and now our first graduating class have begun their lives as members of the adult community. 

For some that will mean a job and the responsibilities of family living. For others, this will mean college and further years of study and preparation. Whatever course their future takes, it is my sincere hope that they will look back on their years at CREATE Charter High School as having prepared them to meet and deal with the challenges that life will present.

Now, four years later, our students made history once again by being the first graduating class from CREATE Charter High School, and we are happy to report that the extended family here at CREATE still have GREAT EXPECTATIONS for our graduates. For a graduation, far from being an end, is the beginning of all your tomorrows.

My wife Yraida and I thank our students and their families for allowing us to be a special part of their lives and allowing us to share with you our GREAT EXPECTATIONS. 

On behalf of the faculty, staff, Yraida, and myself, I wish to each and every one of you the happiness of a productive life, the respect of your fellow human beings, and the love of your family and friends.

To our graduates we wish the best of luck and congratulations. 

To our new and continuing students we welcome you for another year of learning, challenges, personal victories and the advancement towards your dreams, moving ever forward toward your own  GREAT EXPECTATIONS!
