Administrators’ Responsibility


TO cultivate an environment of covenant, community, and service.
TO create an environment characterized by compassion and caring, where all school community members are treated with respect.
TO create an environment where the love of learning is the norm.
TO validate, respect, and consider everyone as valued members of the school community, to listen to others in order to stay connected and to learn. 
TO make the well being of the school the foundation for decision-making.
TO support staff members to be leaders that draw from each other’s strength.
TO expect ethical behavior for every member of the school community, including visitors.
TO adhere to ethical standards of the profession, to other ethical policy statements pertaining to administering, and to relevant statutes established by federal, state and local governments. 
TO ensure that appropriate policies are in place to protect individual rights, to respect diversity and individual life choices and to make sure everyone is made aware of these policies. 
TO respect differences related to race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, and learning styles.
TO promote each individual’s integrity, rights, and opportunities within a diverse profession. 
TO encourage lifelong learning and professional growth. 
TO maintain professional competence, and keep informed of research, innovation, and trends in the profession. 
TO lead by example.
TO take responsibility for his/her actions. 
TO consistently monitor the effectiveness of the school’s programs, and the covenant. 
TO accurately represent to the public facts or events concerning the school.
TO guard the school and those associated with it from offering any favor, service or thing of value for personal gain. 

 

Faculty Responsibilities


TO insure that the integrity of the learning process is maintained at all times.
TO develop curricula that meets the needs of the entire child.
TO function as reflective practitioners.
TO build and sustain a culture of caring and compassion.
TO embrace diversity in individual development.
TO use a variety of teaching approaches to accomplish the goals of improving instruction and student outcomes. 
TO treat students with dignity and respect.
TO include parents as valued partners in the learning community. 

 

Student Responsibilities


TO set clear goals and not be afraid to ask for help in achieving them.
TO develop and contribute a sense of pride in the school.
TO work as hard as possible both collaboratively and individually. 
TO consider and respect the feelings and thoughts of others at all times. 
TO be honest in all personal and academic pursuits. 
TO treat school property with care.
TO come to school prepared to learn, and to do nothing that prevents others from learning. 
TO exercise self-control and self-discipline at all times. 

Parent Responsibilities


TO value education by providing a time and place for children to study, and by making it a priority. 
TO make sure that students are prepared for school, with needed supplies and uniforms. 
TO attend school functions, keep appointments and meet with teachers.
TO reinforce the idea that successful people set reachable goals. 
TO communicate with teachers and be a partner in the education of your children.
TO ask meaningful questions of both the school and the student when disagreements arise or concerns are expressed. 
TO volunteer service or expertise to help the school meet its goals. 
TO model positive behavior and habits for children. 
TO share responsibility with the school for student successes, as well as failures. 
TO encourage a sense of pride in all family members.
TO have high expectations for student achievement.
TO support hard work and meaningful activities.
