CREATE was accepted as permanent members of the Hudson County Interscholastic Athletic Association (HCIAA) and the New Jersey Interschalastic Athletic Association (NJIAA), which enabled CREATE’s student-athletes to compete in team sports with other public and private high schools.
In 2004-2005 there boys’ and girls’ basketball teams, varsity and junior varsity, as well as softball, baseball, track and bowling teams. Our teams did well, and the boys’ varsity basketball teams made it into the championships.
Participation in sports builds self-esteem, and allows a broad range and large number of students to participate fully in the life of the school.
Two 2005 graduates received
full athletic scholarships to college.
